In the first ever study of its kind, the team from The Orthopaedic Department at Coventry University Hospital have shown with a prospective randomised study that meniscal transplantation is better than physical therapy. The study provides the best quality evidence to-date demonstrating the benefits in the short-term of meniscal allograft transplantation in symptomatic patients who have previous lost most or all of a meniscus.
