Steve Bollen, Knee Surgeon in Leeds, has published an open letter in the Journal of Arthroscopy highlighting the severe flaws in comments and opinions published recently in the BMJ, that wrongly state that arthroscopy ‘doesn’t work’. Mr Bollen emphasises the errors and dangers in this very blinkered way of thinking and highlights the potential positives that surgery can offer for many patients.
